Terre di Gnirga
Valpolicella, Veneto, Italy
Aldrighetti Family
Terre di Gnirega is a small family-run company for 4 generations, from great-grandfather Cristoforo, class 1874, passing through Sante and arriving to Luigi (Gigi) and his sons.
Since the '70s and' 80s, Gigi, just took over from Sante, participates in that movement of thought and research of good agronomic practices, aimed at excluding the products of chemical synthesis for the defense of production and for the nourishment of the ground, a movement that then it will be called organic farming.
Since 1989, the company has been certified organic with the AIAB (Italian Organic Agriculture Association) regulation, later implemented in European regulations in 1991.
The vinifications are carried out leaving the indigenous yeasts naturally present on the grapes, with minimal interventions and following the annual character of the wine. What results are non-heavy wines with a rich and characteristic taste.
