Matteo Rigoni & Balú
Matteo Rigoni grows international grapes on the sinuous Berici hills.
He adopts sustainable and eco-friendly farming techniques in order to defend the natural richness of the carbonate soil that hosts his vineyards.
He actually produces one red and one white wine, both naturally fermented with native yeasts and matured in terracotta amphoras. This type of vessel is able to release, gradually, small amounts of oxygen enhancing the pure fruity character of the grape and enriching the wine body with a smoother texture.
Matteo has a willing, brave and fluffy sidekick helping him with the hard
winemaker job; his name is Balú and he is always ready to watch over the vineyards (he was indeed rewarded with a wine dedication for his good job!).
